The Clinical Scientist position supports early development in the Neuroscience & Rare Disease DTA, based in Basel.
Responsibilities- Support development and preparation of clinical science information for inclusion in the Clinical Development Plan.
- Write or amend protocol/ICF documents and construct appropriate CRFs under guidance of the Lead/Senior Clinical Scientist.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams for internal and external clinical presentations and communications (investigator meetings, study site interactions, patient information, study newsletters).
- Present at internal meetings such as the Study Leadership Team.
- Contribute to abstracts, posters, and content for scientific meetings.
- Work with Lead/Senior Clinical Scientists, Medical Directors, and Clinical Directors to execute the Medical Data Review Plan, interpret data, and contribute to study reporting.
- Act as medical monitor of Phase1 and Phase2 clinical trials in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
- Apply advanced imaging techniques to measure neurodegeneration (e.g., neuromelanin‑MRI) in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
- Contribute to Clinical Trial Application (CTA)/Ethics Committee (EC) written interactions, briefing packs, responses to Health Authority (HA) questions, and clinical science data for regulatory submissions.
- Degree in Medicine required (MD, MBBS).
- Advanced clinical or science degree (PhD, PharmD, MSN, MPH, etc.) highly preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of clinical development experience.
- Familiarity with governing laws, regulations, and guidelines on global clinical trial execution (GCP, ICH, FDA, EMA, etc.).
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary functions involved in drug development.
- Some therapeutic area–relevant clinical trial experience or clear potential to assimilate with support.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed global team.
