The Portfolio Analytics Leader in Product Development Global Clinical Operations (PDG) Analytics & Portfolio Optimization (APO) team will lead a team of analysts functioning as a strategic thought partner to key stakeholders and a driving force behind Roche / Genentechs operational planning efforts. This leader will inspire develop and manage a team to deliver high-quality analytics ensuring the optimal performance of our portfolio.
As a people leader the Portfolio Analytics Team Leader will build upon the foundations of the analyst role and take ownership of the teams growth coordination and strategic initiatives. This requires a blend of Forecasting Data Analysis Advanced Data Analytics and Product Management capabilities to guide team members in their professional development and contributions to impactful projects.
The Portfolio Analytics Team Leader is responsible for providing strategic operational insights with minimal guidance / supervision leveraging their capabilities in the following areas of expertise :
- Forecasting: creating time-series and / or patient-based forecasts; conducting uncertainty analyses
- Data Analysis: identifying trends and patterns in the data; descriptive statistics; qualitative and quantitative insights generation
- Advanced Data Analytics: designing and delivering advanced quantitative data analyses leveraging large / complex datasets
- Product Management: end to end delivery of analytical solutions from ideation through implementation providing strategic partnership to communities across Clinical Operations
- Partner with Area / Country Leaders and analysts Therapeutic Area Strategic Engagement Partners Franchise Leads Study Management & Country Leaders Study Management Teams Late Stage Portfolio Committee (LSPC) stakeholders and Lifecycle Teams to understand business needs priorities and strategic scope of work.
- Set the vision and strategy for integrated insights and analytics trade-off analyses and risk assessment to optimize patient recruitment strategies country footprint and clinical site selection for ongoing and planned clinical trials.
- Mentor and develop team members in creating time-series and / or patient-based forecasts conducting uncertainty analyses and identifying trends and patterns in data.
- Promote a collaborative environment where individual contributors blend and extend their expertise on different initiatives to further develop their capabilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement encouraging team members to seek ongoing personal and professional development
- Oversee the sophisticated application of advanced analytics methods including predictive modeling machine learning and scalable prototypes to measure study performance and guide portfolio-level decisions.
- Ensure the creation and management of tools with up-to-date industry information to build accurate short-and long-term forecasts.
- Communicate the effects that trial design elements country and site selection competitor activities and new engagement tactics will have on clinical trial recruitment & retention forecasts.
- Act as a thought partner and advisor to all relevant teams and stakeholders looking for opportunities for peer mentorship.
- Lead the application of analytical and statistical methods to answer a variety of business questions using multiple data sources and technical tools / languages.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to develop solutions gain alignment and deliver impactful business insights; engage necessary stakeholders to enable better decision-making.
- Take an enterprise and One PDG mindset linking individual team responsibilities with broader organizational goals; focus on outcomes that provide the most business value.
