Senior Change Management Expert – (AI & Data) – Basel, Switzerland – 3 days on site – Duration: 01/03/2026 to 27/02/2027 (potential extension)
Role Description- The Senior Change Management Expert will lead the design and delivery of change management for priority AI initiatives across , with a focus on:
- Supporting AI use cases and the AI Strategy through structured, people centred change plans focused on adoption, ways of working and trust in AI.
- Working with the D&D C&E team to embed change management principles into communications, engagement activities and leadership interactions.
- Bringing senior-level change expertise while building internal capability (C&E team and partners) to sustain change practices beyond the engagement.
- Co create change objectives and outcomes for priority AI use cases and AI strategy work streams aligned with and D&D 2026 expectations.
- Design change strategies using the Change Navigator for at least two flagship AI projects.
- Define measurable adoption and behaviour indicators (e.g., readiness, sentiment, tool uptake, learning participation) and align tracking with initiative owners.
- Map and D&D stakeholders and analyse change impacts.
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans aligned with C&E.
- Coach leaders and sponsors on communicating the AI/Data Strategy case for change and expected team impacts.
- Identify process, role and capability changes for AI use cases and AI ready data products.
- Conduct impact and readiness assessments; document risks, gaps and mitigation.
- Provide change risk insights in governance forums (AI/Data Strategy, BRLT).
- Translate AI/Data strategies into clear, audience specific narratives that explain "what this means for my work."
- Shape message maps and communication plans for AI Strategy 2028, Data Strategy roadmap and priority AI use cases.
- Support capturing and packaging success stories and lessons learned for wide storytelling.
- Align change plans with Learning, Data Strategy and AI Strategy initiatives.
- Design or co design capability building workshops and clinics, including one for the C&E team.
- Provide artefacts such as FAQs, job aids and adoption checklists.
- Define adoption metrics for selected AI use cases and data products.
- Monitor readiness and adoption signals; recommend targeted interventions.
- Co design the C&E measurement framework to integrate AI/data related change metrics.
- Mentor C&E and partners on applying change tools within .
- Develop reusable toolkits (change plans, stakeholder maps, readiness checklists) aligned with the Change Navigator.
- Create a formal knowledge transfer and exit plan documenting tools, approaches and lessons learned.
- Languages:
English fluent (written and spoken) - Education:
University degree in Organizational Change, Business, Communications, Psychology or related field - Advanced degree or change management certification (Prosci, ACMP) is an advantage
- Technical / Domain Experience
- Significant experience in change management for complex tech, data or AI transformations in large matrixed organisations
- Experience with AI strategies, AI use cases and/or data platform/data strategy rollouts, ideally in R&D or scientific environments
- Software
Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Comfortable with dashboards, surveys, channel metrics and adoption analytics
