MCH Exhibitions & Events organizes leading B2B and B2C events in Switzerland and manages venue operations at Messe Basel and Messe Zürich.
To strengthen our data-driven decision making, we are looking for a Business & Customer Data Analyst who will transform data into actionable insights across marketing, sales, and event operations.
The role will help unlock the value of our visitor, exhibitor and marketing data to support audience growth, exhibitor success, and strategic decision making across our event portfolio. This position sits within the Technology, Intelligence & Marketing team and works closely with marketing, sales, and event teams.
Your responsibilities- Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports providing insights on event performance, visitor behaviour, marketing effectiveness, campaign performance, exhibitor value, and business performance
- Analyze and consolidate data across CRM, ticketing, marketing platforms, and other systems to generate clear insights and recommendations for business teams and leadership
- Support leadership with data-driven reporting for strategic decisions
- Develop visitor segmentation, audience intelligence models, and customer insights
- Analyze visitor acquisition performance across channels and identify opportunities to improve audience targeting and marketing ROI
- Provide insights on visitor behaviour across events, including visitor profiles, engagement, markets, and audiences
- Provide analytics supporting exhibitor sales, retention, and value propositions
- Support sales teams with data-driven insights to demonstrate exhibitor value
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance within CRM and related systems
- Support and improve CRM data structure, reporting capabilities, and analytics readiness
- Define best practices for data management across teams
- Support ongoing improvement of data infrastructure, integration, and analytics capabilities
- Develop a company-wide event performance dashboard
- Build visitor segmentation and audience intelligence models
- Support marketing teams with campaign performance analytics
- Provide insights to improve exhibitor value propositions
- Improve CRM data structure to support analytics
- 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or CRM analytics
- Experience working with customer data, marketing data, and CRM analytics, ideally Salesforce
- Experience translating complex data into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable using AI tools for building, analysis, and automation
- German native and business-proficient English
- Nice to have: marketing analytics, data modeling, and experience working with multiple data sources
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Curiosity and interest in understanding business challenges
Ability to work across teams, functions, and stakeholder groups
