Opportunity

This role is responsible for driving the digital technology strategy through the delivery of key digital initiatives and use cases in the Supply Chain domain, such as Network Optimization and Warehouse Capacity Forecasting. As the Digital Strategy Delivery Lead you will act as an Agile Product Owner (PO) to partner with stakeholders and customers across PT functions, architecting the planning, execution, and sustainment of digital solutions to achieve the PT Digital Aspirations.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Digital Transformation:
    Architect key initiatives and act as a digital translator between business needs and technical roles, navigating both domains seamlessly.
  • Impact:
    Define impact aspirations (product vision, roadmap, value assessments, business cases) and lead deployment of a global solution in a function or site.
  • Enable significant improvements in quality management processes through innovative digital solutions, demonstrated by the measurement of key business metrics.
  • Scalability:
    Utilize a broad Supply Chain understanding to perform detailed requirement analyses with the team, focusing on network scalability.
  • Requirements Analysis:
    Balance process and stakeholder requirements with digital product simplicity, network scalability, and sustainability.
  • Prioritization and Team Setup:
    Prioritize use cases and assume the product owner role to catalyze implementation of key digital use cases.
  • Coach teams developing and deploying digital use cases, sharing best practices, agile ways of working, backlog management, and sprint planning to ensure full impact capture and coordination between initiatives.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams with digital experts and SMEs across multiple sites and time zones.
  • Compliance and Solution Shaping:
    Facilitate compliant solutions for data and digital products in the GxP environment.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    Identify potential risks associated with digital quality initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Innovation and Improvement:
    Continuously explore and assess emerging digital technologies and industry trends, driving innovation and process improvements within the Quality domain.
  • Capability and Community Building:
    Coordinate development of essential skills and foster a digital community focused on value realization, e.g., through facilitating OCM activities.
  • Mentor and lead the product management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and collaboration.
  • Other duties:
    Support process improvement, portfolio management, data management, workforce strategy, product delivery, support strategy, partnership, and collaboration with IT, PT functions, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:

    Requires an MS or PhD in a Science or Engineering field paired with 15+ years of experience leading digital transformations or technology‑focused organizations.
  • Domain & Industry Expertise:
    Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, specifically within Supply Chain, Technical Operations (Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality), and Computerised System Validation (CSV).
  • Leadership & Agile Product Ownership: 5+ years as an Agile Product Owner or leadership role, with a proven track record in Organizational Change Management, IT collaboration, and influencing senior leaders.
  • Technical Skills (GenAI & Data):
    Strong grasp of GenAI technologies (NLP, predictive analytics, automation) alongside systems and data management expertise.
  • Project &

    Risk Management:

    Strategic, analytical, and proactive approach to leading cross‑functional project teams, driving transformation initiatives, and managing risk, compliance, and audits.
  • Core Skills &

    Languages:

    Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and value assessment skills; fluent in English (German a plus).
  • Additional

    Experience:

    10+ years in architecting and implementing digital transformations in pharma, with deep knowledge of pharma digital & data ecosystem, regulatory, supply chain, and quality information systems, tools, and techniques. Good understanding of customer business challenges, goals, and operations environment.
