Role Overview

We are seeking a senior‑tier Neuron Integration Specialist to own, secure, and modernize our enterprise application middleware framework. In this role, you will eliminate data silos by designing robust message‑broker architectures, primarily using Neuron ESB alongside Microsoft Azure Integration services. Your mission is to build highly reliable, asynchronous messaging topologies that seamlessly bridge modern cloud services with complex on‑premises legacy ecosystems.

Strategic

Scope

Architecture, configuration, programmatic tuning, and day‑to‑day management of complex service integrations and asynchronous messaging channels leveraging the Neuron ESB middleware ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities
  • Integration Layer Analysis:
Analyze architectural communication bottlenecks across distributed systems to design reliable enterprise integration flows and publish‑subscribe messaging patterns.
  • Transformation Architecture:
Create data translation components, XML/JSON structural mappings, and message routing maps across disparate business domains.
  • Service Endpoint Delivery:
Program, test, and expose secure SOAP web service targets and decoupled RESTful endpoint interfaces on the service bus layer.
  • Middleware Parameter Tuning:
Configure, optimize, and manage runtime processing parameters, thread limits, message durability, and retry queues inside the Neuron ESB environment.
  • Diagnostic Diagnostics Execution:
Analyze integration transaction records, trace failing event chains, and resolve message blockage faults within production middleware infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise integration, middleware engineering, ESB development or service‑oriented architecture.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing integration flows across distributed enterprise systems, including publish‑subscribe messaging, service routing and event‑driven communication patterns.
  • Hands‑on experience with Neuron ESB, including runtime configuration, service bus management, message routing, retry handling, durability settings and middleware performance tuning.
  • Good knowledge of SOAP web services, RESTful APIs, service endpoint configuration, interface exposure and secure service communication.
  • Experience creating and maintaining XML/JSON transformations, structural mappings, data translation logic and message routing maps across different business domains.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience in production middleware environments, including transaction tracing, message blockage analysis, failed event chain investigation and integration fault resolution.
  • Good understanding of middleware performance parameters such as thread limits, retry queues, message durability, timeout handling and transaction processing behaviour.
  • Ability to analyse architectural communication bottlenecks and propose reliable, scalable and maintainable enterprise integration solutions.
  • Experience working with enterprise logging, monitoring, diagnostic tools and operational support processes for integration platforms.
  • Ability to document integration flows, interface specifications, service mappings, operational runbooks and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed project team, collaborating with data engineers, software developers, architects, analysts and business stakeholders.
  • Languages:

flawless bilingual/native‑level business German communications proficiency (C1/C2 level written and spoken) is required. The candidate must present seamlessly in German during the technical panel interview (Anbieterfachgespräch).
  • Swiss Compliance:
Must hold EU/EFTA nationality or possess an active, valid Swiss permanent residency/work card (C Permit or unrestricted B/G Permit).
Benefits
  • Opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the growth of our company.
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
