As a Logistics Operations Coordinator, you will take ownership of logistics shipments from order placement through to final delivery and invoicing, ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the entire transport process.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end logistics shipments, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Plan, book, and monitor transport orders, including proactive tracking and tracing of shipments.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, carriers, overseas offices, customs partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing proactive shipment updates and responding to operational enquiries.
- Coordinate closely with internal operations teams and external service providers to ensure smooth and efficient logistics processes.
- Monitor shipment performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to meet agreed service levels and KPIs.
- Resolve operational challenges and customer complaints through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare shipment-related documentation and support accurate invoicing and financial completion of shipments.
- Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate operational data and support reporting activities to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Your profile:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in international logistics operations, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Good understanding of Incoterms®, customs procedures, trade compliance requirements, and dangerous goods (DG) awareness.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience working with Transport Management Systems (TMS), ERP solutions, and digital logistics platforms.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end transport operations across international logistics networks.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail, with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
