Role Description
  • Report to the Ship Support Operations Manager and support the Ocean Procurement team across the Ocean and Expedition fleets.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end processing of ship purchase requests, ensuring timely fulfillment in line with company policies, budgets, and procurement procedures.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between onboard teams, suppliers, and internal Logistics and Sourcing stakeholders.
  • Support a wide range of operational activities, including procurement, invoicing, service equipment maintenance, training coordination, quality assurance, and operational reporting/analytics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned ships for all purchasing activities, including, but not limited to; delays, recoveries, invoicing topics, spec changes, and order modifications.
  • Ensure all ship purchase requests are fulfilled on time, and in line with company policies and processes.
  • Support ships with delayed deliveries, and emergency orders, coordinating with suppliers and port agents where necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with shipboard and corporate teams, internal logistics, sourcing, and external suppliers to ensure continuous operational supply.
  • Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies, order issues, quality concerns, and credit note requests.
  • Perform ongoing analysis of suppliers, critical items, and key performance metrics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and provide timely updates to vessels and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Finance department to ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner, minimizing the risk of financial write-offs.
  • Ensure accuracy of MXP master data, including specifications, descriptions, supplier, and fulfillment rules.
  • Monitor PO compliance and ensure standard purchasing procedures are followed by the fleet, providing training and guidance when needed to maintain the highest operational standards onboard.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules for hotel service equipment while responding to emergency service requests.
  • Collaborate with vessels and key stakeholders to identify requirements, raise purchase orders, and coordinate the delivery of critical dry dock items across a diverse supplier base.
  • Continuously improve purchasing processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies.
Key Qualifications
  • A minimum of one to two years working experience in coordinating logistics and procurement activities; preferably in the cruise industry.
  • Analytical mindset with an advanced knowledge of excel and ideally a basic understanding of SQL and/or PBI.
  • Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities, proactively driving tasks and solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and stress resistance, team player, commitment, positive personality, professional appearance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A can-do mindset, with a strong focus on delivery of a superior guest experience as well as a focus on costs and budgets.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and overseas.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
Nice To Have Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in the cruise or hospitality industry.
  • Experience working with MXP.
