Techfirm Engineering is looking for a Process Chemist (m/f/d) to join its Industrial Services team in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

As a Process Chemist
, you will be responsible for supporting, optimizing, and ensuring the robustness of chemical processes within GMP-regulated manufacturing operations.

• Provide chemical and process support to production, quality, and engineering teams on manufacturing-related topics
• Troubleshoot process deviations and support root cause investigations to ensure production continuity
• Ensure stable and compliant execution of chemical manufacturing processes
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned processes or products
• Collaborate closely with Production, QA/QC, Engineering, and R&D teams

• Support and optimize chemical manufacturing processes such as:
  • Reaction processes and synthesis steps
  • Separation, purification, and crystallization processes
  • Mixing, blending, and formulation processes
  • Scale‑up and tech transfer activities from lab to production
  • Process monitoring and critical parameter control
• Lead or support process optimization initiatives
• Participate in CAPEX and process development projects
• Contribute to lifecycle management of chemical processes
• Support root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions
• Develop and optimize process parameters to improve yield, quality, and efficiency
• Ensure processes comply with GMP and regulatory requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Process Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Manufacturing Chemistry
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or food industries
• Strong understanding of chemical processes in GMP-regulated environments
• Experience in production support, scale‑up, or process development
• Familiarity with deviations, investigations, and change control processes
• Hands‑on, analytical, and solution‑oriented mindset
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across multiple departments

• Swiss‑based and multicultural engineering environment
• Long‑term projects within leading pharmaceutical and chemical companies
• High level of technical responsibility and ownership
• Strong exposure to industrial manufacturing and process operations
