What You Can ExpectAs Global Innovation Scientist, you will play a key role in driving the advancement of Corden Pharma’s capabilities in drug product (DP) development and bridging technologies. This role combines scientific excellence, leadership, and business impact—connecting R&D, commercial functions, and external partners.
Responsibilities- Identify emerging technologies and initiate innovation projects to expand the company’s capabilities
- Lead and coordinate cross‑functional innovation projects, ensuring successful execution and technology transfer to commercial teams
- Develop strategies to integrate new technologies into service offerings and support their market positioning
- Provide expert guidance across global sites on DP formulation and optimal API design
- Lead and mentor subject matter experts in DP formulation and solid‑state engineering
- Drive scientific excellence through publications, conferences, and external representation
- Act as a key interface between R&D, Marketing, and Sales, translating complex scientific concepts into commercial value
- Ensure scientific quality of marketing materials and contribute expert content for publications
- Manage project budgets and communicate progress across the innovation organization
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders
- PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physics, or related fields
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong expertise in drug product formulation and bridging technologies
- In‑depth understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements
- Solid business acumen (costing, efficiency, ROI)
- Proven leadership experience in a matrix organization
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex science for diverse audiences
- Strategic mindset, hands‑on approach, and strong influencing skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel (~30%)
