Clinical Pharmacology Lead - Expert Scientist

In Roche’s Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organisation (pRED), the Clinical Pharmacology Section is looking for a senior enterprise leader in Clinical Pharmacology, Model‑Informed Drug Development (MIDD) and Quantitative Medicine. The role will shape scientific and development strategies across disease areas, drive regulatory submissions, and mentor cross‑functional teams.

• Formulate and evolve overarching Clinical Pharmacology and MIDD strategies for high‑profile molecules or portfolio segments (e.g. Antibody‑Drug‑Conjugates) in Roche’s focus disease areas (CVRM, Immunology, Neuroscience, Oncology, Ophthalmology).
• Identify, develop, and integrate state‑of‑the‑art computational methodologies into workflows.
• Provide authoritative guidance on complex or unprecedented submission strategies and serve as primary partner to health authorities and KOLs.
• Lead clinical pharmacology and modelling evaluations for in‑licensing, out‑licensing, and business development opportunities.
• Participate in and drive pRED/Roche‑wide initiatives to maximise organisational impact.
• Act as a role model who brings teams together and prioritises work for a high‑performance environment.
• Coach and mentor Principal Scientists and Department members globally, building quantitative and translational capabilities.
• Influence senior leadership, handle high‑stakes conflicts, shape global organisational strategy, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

• PhD, Pharm.
  
  D., or MD with a specialised focus in Pharmacometrics, Clinical Pharmacology, or a closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry in Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology, with a record of scientific contributions, regulatory approvals, and matrix leadership.
• Strong foundation in Clinical Pharmacology principles, quantitative drug development, and advanced modelling approaches across therapeutic modalities.
• Strategic thinker who embraces innovation, demonstrates ownership, and influences senior leadership.
