On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a permanent Inspector – Quality Assurance to join their Quality function within an aviation environment in Basel, Switzerland
. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality professional with strong EASA regulatory knowledge to support compliance and continuous improvement across Maintenance, Production, Design Organisation and CAMO activities.
The Inspector – Quality Assurance will work in accordance with the organisation’s approved procedures and expositions (including DOE, POE, MOE, CAME and other applicable specifications), ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Working in accordance with applicable procedures as defined in the DOE/POE/MOE/CAME and other company specifications
- Ensuring effective communication and liaison internally, particularly across Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production
- Supporting and attending audits by authorities, including preparation of audit checklists
- Reviewing and updating organisational documentation, including:
- Organisation Expositions
- Capability lists
- Procedures (handbooks, process specifications, technical instructions)
- Forms and controlled documents
- Providing a continuous, detailed overview of the current quality status to relevant stakeholders
- Preparing and delivering internal training and briefing sessions on internal procedures and technical subjects
- Preparing and updating company manuals and procedures
- Supporting Maintenance, Production, Design Organisation and CAMO teams with:
- Application, extension, and renewal of maintenance licences
- Internal authorisations
- Acting as a Quality Inspector for Production, Maintenance, Design and CAMO activities
- Acting as an Internal Quality Auditor
- Supporting the QA Manager and QA Director with administrative and organisational tasks, particularly relating to approval certificates (issuance, renewals, changes)
- Several years’ practical experience within an aviation environment
- Active or former holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Licence (preferred)
- Several years’ experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Inspection
- Auditing experience
- Detailed knowledge of EASA regulations and guidance material, ideally including:
- Part 145
- Part M / CAMO
- Part 21 Subpart G/J
- Ability to establish and write high-quality controlled documentation, including:
- Handbooks and procedures
- Technical instructions
- Audit reports
