QC Specialist

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

• Perform analytical testing of primary packaging materials, raw materials (such as excipients), and consumables in accordance with strict cGMP guidelines to support safe drug manufacturing.
• Execute thorough laboratory investigations for out-of-specification or unexpected results and support technical troubleshooting.
• Support analytical method implementation, qualification, verification, and validation activities.
• Author, review, and update QC-related documentation including SOPs, testing procedures, specifications, validation protocols, and lab records.
• Liaise with suppliers and qualified external laboratories to obtain and verify Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and essential GMP documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Operations to maintain project timelines and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy across laboratory operations.

What we are looking for:

• Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician with 4+ years of QC experience in a cGMP environment; or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline with relevant QC experience.
• Solid practical experience in analytical testing of raw materials, excipients, and consumables (e.g., wet chemistry, FTIR, or physical/chemical assays).
• Practical experience testing primary packaging materials is highly desirable.
• Sound working knowledge of cGMP regulations, pharmacopeial standards, and quality control systems.
• Strong analytical mindset, methodical problem-solving skills, and precise documentation practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency or working knowledge of German is a strong advantage.
• Self-motivated and organized professional who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
