Laboratory Assistant
- Scientist
- Basel (onsite)

Support the development of life‑changing therapies right from the lab in Basel! This role offers hands‑on experience in non‑GMP drug product sample preparation, routine analytical testing, and critical quality documentation within our Pharmaceutical Development group.

Fully site‑based roles

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Support non‑GMP drug product sample preparation for preclinical toxicity studies and stability testing using aseptic techniques.
  • Perform routine analytical assays including pH, osmolality, caliper measurements, and visual particle inspections.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation according to data integrity standards and current laboratory procedures.
  • Handle laboratory materials and operate equipment while ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Summarize experimental results and analytical findings in concise technical reports.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams within Pharmaceutical Services to advance preclinical projects.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or completed vocational training as a Lab Technician.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on technical or research assistant experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Practical experience with basic analytical tools and non‑GMP sample preparation.
  • Exposure to aseptic working techniques is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven skills in data logging, reporting, and documentation integrity.
  • Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English; basic German skills are a plus.
