The Structural Biology Platform is hiring a Project Leader to advance cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) and expand its capabilities platform supports an engaged research community working at the interface of structural biology, cell biology and molecular mechanisms of disease. The state-of-the-art cryo-EM facility includes an Aquilos2 with iFLM, a Titan Krios and a Glacios, offering an exceptional environment for cutting-edge structural studies.
Inthis role, you will
- Support researchers with cryo-EM/ET sample preparation and data collection.
- Train users in the operation of transmission electron microscopes and cryo-FIB/SEM.
- Streamline data‑processing workflows for sub‑tomogram averaging and structure determination.
- Actively contribute to cryo-ET/EM projects development and publications.
- Provide technical documentation and ensure effective troubleshooting.
- PhD (or equivalent) in structural biology, natural sciences or related field.
- Hands‑on experience with cryo-ET/EM state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation.
- Proficiency in SPA, STA, and structure determination.
- Background in high‑pressure freezing and cryo‑lift‑out would be a plus.
- Excellent spoken and written English, IT skills, team player and proactive.
