Responsibilities- Serve as the in-house Benchling expert and administrator, configuring the Benchling R&D Cloud to align with research workflows.
- Design custom entity schemas, templates, and workflows for samples, assays, inventory, and protocol entries.
- Continuously optimize the Benchling tenant for usability and efficiency.
- Work with BIIE research teams to understand experimental workflows and translate requirements into Benchling configurations.
- Develop custom extensions or modules within Benchling, including dashboards, analytical reports, and automated scripts using Benchling’s APIs and App Canvas.
- Integrate Benchling with laboratory instruments, automation equipment, and external databases through APIs, Python scripts, and integration tools.
- Collaborate with Benchling support and services for advanced configuration deployments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience administering or implementing ELN/LIMS platforms in research or clinical lab settings.
- Strong preference for experience with Benchling.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming for data integration and automation;
Python experience required. - SQL knowledge required for querying and interfacing with relational databases.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and data formats such as JSON and CSV.
