Position Overview

Senior enterprise leader and expert in Clinical Pharmacology, including Model‑Informed Drug Development (MIDD) and Quantitative Medicine. Responsible for solving high‑risk development challenges, embedding advanced computational capabilities to accelerate the R&D pipeline, and shaping long‑term scientific and development strategies across disease areas or global functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and evolve overarching Clinical Pharmacology and MIDD strategies for high‑profile molecules or portfolio segments (e.g., Antibody‑Drug‑Conjugates) across Roche’s focus disease areas (CVRM, Immunology, Neuroscience, Oncology, Ophthalmology).
  • Identify, develop, and integrate state‑of‑the‑art computational methodologies into workflows, fostering a culture of innovation and challenging development paradigms.
  • Provide authoritative guidance on highly complex or unprecedented submission strategies (e.g., pediatric extrapolations, novel modalities) and lead interactions with health authorities and key opinion leaders.
  • Lead clinical pharmacology and modeling evaluations for high‑stakes due diligence, in‑licensing, and out‑licensing opportunities, assessing technical viability, risks, and potential value.
  • Participate in and drive Roche‑wide initiatives to maximize organizational impact and alignment.
  • Act as an inspirational role model, prioritizing work to create clarity, focus, and a sustainable high‑performance environment within the department.
  • Mentor and coach Principal Scientists and department members globally, building quantitative and translational capabilities for portfolio decision‑making.
  • Demonstrate global influence, collaborate with senior leadership, and shape organizational strategy while handling high‑stakes conflicts with resilience.
Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    PhD, Pharm.

    D., or MD with a specialized focus in Pharmacometrics, Clinical Pharmacology, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Experience
    : 10+ years in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry in Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology, with a documented record of scientific contributions, regulatory approvals, and matrix leadership.
  • Technical Skills
    :
    Strong foundation in Clinical Pharmacology principles, quantitative drug development, and hands‑on capabilities in multi‑scale quantitative workflows and advanced modeling approaches across diverse therapeutic modalities.
  • Influence & Leadership
    :
    Demonstrated strategic thinking, innovation, ownership, influence over senior leadership, and the ability to shape global organizational strategy.
