About Our Client
For our client, an internationally active company in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector
, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician – Process Chemistry (m/f/d). The company is recognized for its strong focus on innovative drug substance development and combines classical process chemistry with forward‑looking technologies such as biocatalysis, flow chemistry, and process analytical technology.
Your Tasks
- Plan and run chemical synthesis experiments independently, safely, and in line with project timelines
- Generate, evaluate, and clearly communicate experimental data to project teams and manufacturing sites
- Work closely with process chemists to design experiments, interpret results, and define next steps
- Support scale‑up and troubleshooting activities during pilot and manufacturing campaigns, including yield optimization and cycle‑time estimates
- Take part in the manufacture of small‑scale GMP and non‑GMP batches
, including for advanced therapeutic modalities such as ADCs - Get involved with modern technology platforms, from biocatalysis and flow chemistry to sustainable process design
- Keep laboratory equipment, instruments, and inventories in a safe, compliant, and fully operational state
- Document all work accurately and completely in the electronic lab notebook (eLN), following Good Documentation Practice
- Share your knowledge with apprentices, interns, and junior colleagues as you grow into the role
What You Bring
- Completed apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician (Laborant/in) or an equivalent technical‑scientific qualification
- Hands‑on experience in synthetic chemistry and genuine enthusiasm for laboratory work
- Practical exposure to process development and scale‑up of chemical reactions
- Confident handling of standard synthesis and analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, NMR, Easy Max, or FlexyALR
- Solid understanding of laboratory safety and HSE standards
, ideally combined with GxP awareness - A structured, precise way of working paired with strong documentation skills
- Good command of German and strong written and spoken English
