We are seeking a Global Logistics Security Officer & Transport Safety Advisor to join our Basel headquarters. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert for logistics security and transport safety, as well as compliance for the transport of Dangerous Goods (excluding the USA), while leading our Global Logistics Security Program. You will provide strategic leadership, technical guidance, and governance to ensure our logistics network remains resilient, secure, and compliant on a global scale.###
The Opportunity
* Lead Global Communities:
Act as the primary lead for the Pharma Dangerous Goods and Global Logistics Security communities.
* Strategic Governance:
Develop and execute global strategies for Dangerous Goods and Logistics Security in alignment with Group SHE and the Transport Safety Committee.
* Regulatory Oversight:
Monitor and implement complex changes across IMDG, IATA, ADR/RID, and national security laws, ensuring all SOPs and IT tools are updated.
* Risk & Audit Management:
Define and execute annual global audit programs and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and track corrective actions.
* Operational Excellence:
Manage daily Dangerous Goods activities, including emergency reporting procedures, transport accident protocols, and the maintenance of global security guidelines.
* Capability Building:
Develop training programs and e-learning tools to mentor Regional/Local Security Officers and Dangerous Goods personnel across all divisions.
* Expert Consulting:
Support the Global Logistics community by providing deep subject matter expertise in compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability### Who You Are
* You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Engineering. You bring extensive experience in global logistics, specifically within highly regulated industries like Pharmaceuticals or Chemicals.
* You are a certified expert in international dangerous goods regulations, possessing current qualifications for ADR/RID, IATA-DGR (Category 1/3/6), and IMDG. You have a deep understanding of GHS standards and their practical application in global transport.
* Proven ability to develop global programs, set strategic targets, and manage complex organizational structures with clear authorities.
* Skilled at interfacing with senior management, leading global councils, and representing the company’s interests to federal agencies and external working groups.
* Strong experience in performing global risk assessments, including the ability to conduct audits and translate findings into actionable improvements and digital reports.
* Compliance-Focused Leader:
Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of product security to protect against product-related crime and ensure patient safety.
