Position Overview

Internship in Data Solutions – Knowledge Management and Computer Science (KM & CS)  role focuses on supporting the Virtual Product Home (VPH), a mission‑critical internal document management solution used by over 5,000 users and managing data for more than 800 Roche products.

• Be part of a global team delivering technical solutions to knowledge management problems.
• Coordinate with colleagues and customers in the United States and Europe to deliver complex technical solutions and drive change in the organization.
• Manage projects independently, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and present results to the team.
• Work with operational and service professionals to support content migrations, application development, content analysis, and AI/ML‑driven decision support.
• Learn professional software development and support across a global organization (Java, Angular, Python, Vibe Coding).
• Develop a high level of understanding of global business and IT processes.

• Enrolled student in a university program focusing on Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Pharma, IT, or a related field, or graduated within 12 months prior to the start date.
• Creative problem‑solving and the ability to influence one’s own development.
• Motivation to work in a multicultural environment and present ideas in a clear, comprehensive manner.
• Independent working style, yet effective as a high‑performing team member.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Experience in software development and programming is a plus.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.

Duration: 6–12 months (full‑time, 40 hours per week).

Start date:

1 September 2026.

Location:

Basel, Switzerland. The position is not suitable for a Bachelor/Master thesis and part‑time employment is not possible.
