We are looking for an experienced Mobile Application Developer to support a long‑term enterprise project in Basel. This is a 3‑year contract role with the possibility of extension.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high‑performance Mobile applications. The role requires solid expertise across the following technologies.

• Core Mobile Frameworks:
  React Native and hybrid native mobile integrations, including the ability to connect cross‑platform mobile interfaces with native iOS and Android components where required.
• Data Formatting & Transport: RESTful APIs, SOAP/XML protocols, JSON data packets and XML structural mapping for secure and reliable communication between mobile applications and backend services.

Strategic Scope:
Commands the technical lifecycle of mission‑critical mobile software systems, deploying responsive client utilities optimised for field‑force operations, real‑time tracking, and asset management on portable enterprise‑managed endpoints.

• Mobile Application Development:
  Develop, implement and maintain mobile applications, components, modules and interfaces based on business and operational requirements.
• API & Web‑Service Integration:
  Connect mobile applications to backend web services using SOAP/REST interfaces and common web technologies such as HTTP(S), HTML5, XML and JSON.
• Cross‑Platform Compatibility:
  Ensure mobile applications run reliably across different mobile device platforms, including iOS and Android.
• Monitoring & Error Analysis:
  Implement or connect monitoring solutions for software errors, input errors, performance and access patterns in mobile applications.
• Secure Authentication Integration:
  Integrate mobile applications with standard authentication and authorisation protocols such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect and SAML.
• Testing & Documentation:
  Support integration testing, technical documentation, production defect analysis, change requests and lifecycle improvements.

• Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of demonstrable enterprise mobile application development experience, preferably within multi‑tier enterprise application environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with React Native for building scalable, maintainable and high‑performance cross‑platform mobile applications.
• Experience with hybrid native integrations, including the ability to connect React Native applications with native iOS and Android components where required.
• Practical experience integrating mobile applications with backend services using RESTful APIs, SOAP/XML protocols, JSON data packets and XML structural mapping.
• Good working knowledge of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS 3.0, Type Script and JavaScript.
• Experience implementing secure authentication and authorisation flows using OAuth2, OpenID Connect and SAML.
• Good understanding of mobile application performance, offline behaviour, API error handling, device compatibility and user experience across iOS and Android platforms.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed project team.
• Languages:
  
  Flawless bilingual/native‑level business German communications proficiency (C1/C2 level written and spoken) is required. The candidate must present seamlessly in German during the technical panel interview (Anbieterfachgespräch).
• Swiss Compliance:
  Must hold EU/EFTA nationality or possess an active, valid Swiss permanent residency/work card (C Permit or unrestricted B/G Permit).
