Software Engineer, AI Engineer (Applied​/Software), Backend Developer

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you an AI‑native software engineer ready to help enterprises stay visible in the era of AI? The Adobe Brand Visibility team builds the systems that determine how enterprise brands appear in ChatGPT, Gemini, and the next generation of AI agents. We move fast, build with AI‑native practices, and measure success in real customer outcomes. As a Software Engineer, you'll own features end‑to‑end, run the full spec‑driven lifecycle, and help set the standard for what AI‑directed development looks like in practice.

• Build and ship features for Brand Visibility — an AI‑first product that helps enterprises optimize their digital presence for AI‑driven discovery
• Design and deliver features independently, from spec through validation, across backend services and data pipelines
• Drive the full spec‑driven lifecycle — write validation criteria before implementation, use multi‑session patterns for larger work
• Configure AI harness setups and write guardrails that catch mistakes before they ship
• Design and implement API‑ and MCP‑level integrations, ingesting and correlating data from SEO/GEO platforms such as Semrush
• Partner directly with customers: run technical discovery and rapidly prototype solutions to validate ideas
• Encode architectural knowledge so AI agents and teammates can build on your work confidently
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team‑wide AI engineering standards

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, or a relevant university degree combined with equivalent professional experience
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/Node.js or Python; comfortable across backend and frontend
• You treat AI as a collaborator — hands‑on with tools like Codex or Claude Code — and apply it across your full development workflow
• Working knowledge of SEO/GEO concepts and how they influence content visibility in traditional search and AI‑powered experiences
• Experience with cloud platforms and solid Dev Ops fundamentals
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into actionable specs and working prototypes quickly
