Aureosareseeking aQuantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Laindon.
Working within Aureos' Rail Business Unit, and forming a part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, commercialreportingand maximising profit.

The successful candidate willbe responsible forthefollowing:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you willassistthe commercial team in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensurethe profitability, cash management, costcontrolandaccuratereporting of all schemes.
Your role will require you to:
Capablysubmitapplications and control credit processes
Understanding of income forecast and pricing of variations
Understanding of the change control system
Understanding of project risk
Production of cost value reconciliation (CVRs) with support
Produce cost to complete with support
Understanding the production of forecasting data
Understanding the costing process
Understanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentation.
Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements.
Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.
Attend project progress meetings.
Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports.
Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.
Secondary tasks and duties
Weoperatea team ethos across the Rail Business Unit and strive toassistcolleagues in the execution of their duties where this isappropriateand brings added value. The Quantity Surveyor is responsible forthe following in this respect:
Working with the commercial and operational teams to strive for continuous improvement.
Commitment to their own professional development, and that of others across the Business Unit
