Up to £60,000 depending on experience

Do you have a joinery background with good CAD skills? If so, a major fit out company are keen to recruit a Design Coordinator to produce manufacturing drawings to ensure clients visions can become a reality. The company work in the commercial and high-end residential sectors providing a full fit out service. They are a modern company who are keen on preserving traditional joinery skills working to the highest standard.

Duties:

Work with the bid team/estimators to understand projects and provide expert advice where necessary
Attend design meetings with clients on site and conduct surveys
Ensure a full understanding of project requirements and scope
Identifying any potential challenges and inform the design director
Identify, record and communicate all known design changes to the financial department
Attend team design meetings
Liaise with internal teams and site managers to ensure effective and timely handover of drawings for production
Be responsible for the creation of production drawings using relevant systems for manufacturing purposes specifically for Joinery and associated materials.

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience as a Design Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Design Manager would be an advantage
Must have a good attention to detail and a strong desire for accuracy
Must have good organisational skills, be flexible and proactive.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
It is essential that you are Fluent in AutoCAD 2D
3D CAD skills would be preferred

Experience of design for manufacture is desirable
Excellent IT Skills, word and excel etc
Familiar with Project Intranets; CONJECT, ASITE, KAHUA, VIEWPOINT, PROJECT PLUS, OPIDIS (training will be given)

Hours 8.00am to 5.30pm
25 days holiday plus bank holiday (3 to be used for Christmas shutdown)
