We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Basildon seeking a dedicated General Science Teacher to join their team from January to cover a maternity leave. This is an excellent long‑term opportunity to teach across KS3–KS4 within a supportive and forward‑thinking science department.

• Teach General Science across KS3–KS4 following the school's curriculum
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that support progress and scientific curiosity
• Assess and monitor attainment, providing constructive feedback and targeted interventions
• Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and high expectations

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Organised, adaptable, and committed to raising attainment
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Competitive daily rate of £170 – £240, paid weekly via agency
