Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 to £100 per day

Teacher Active, one of the UK's largest education recruitment agencies, is working with a welcoming primary school in Basildon that is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them immediately. The school needs someone patient, adaptable and able to give focused support to pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidate will support children on a one-to-one basis and within small groups, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help each pupil make steady progress.

• Experience supporting children with additional needs in a school setting
• A calm, reassuring approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with staff and parents
• An understanding of how to support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or emotional regulation
• A positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the day
