Job Title: SEND Teacher (Severe Learning Difficulties) – Basildon

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Teacher Active is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a vibrant school in Basildon on a permanent basis.

As a SEND Teacher, you will work closely with pupils who have Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), providing tailored support to help them reach their full potential. You will create engaging lessons, implement individual education plans (IEPs), and foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.

• Deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with SLD
• Develop and implement individual education and behaviour plans
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each student
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals
• Monitor and record pupil progress effectively
• Promote positive behaviour and independence

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working with pupils with severe learning difficulties is highly desirable
• Passionate about SEND education and committed to making a difference
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Adaptable, patient, and empathetic
