Teacher Active is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in Basildon, and we are looking to recruit a dedicated and resilient Primary Qualified Teacher to join their supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support to access education.

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
• Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies
• Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and senior leaders
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs

Class sizes are small, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and provide personalised support.

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching within a primary setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Experience with SEMH or SEND (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
