This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate primary teacher to join a supportive school community and deliver engaging, purposeful learning to a Year 5 class. The successful candidate will be committed to helping pupils make strong academic progress while developing their confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.
You will be:
* Teaching a Year 5 class within a mainstream primary school setting
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
* Differentiating learning to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils
* Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
* Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
* Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their confidence and independence
* Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and the wider school team
* Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing
* Contributing to the wider life of the school and participating in school activities and events
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally with experience teaching Year 5
* Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum
* Be confident in planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons
* Have strong classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
* Work effectively as part of a team
ECTs with relevant primary teaching experience are welcome to apply.
The ideal candidate will also:
* Be enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about primary education
* Have high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
* Be adaptable and able to respond to a range of learning needs
* Have a positive and proactive approach to teaching
* Have full-time availability from September 2026
* Have the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available
