Overview

Field Service Engineer – Laboratory Automation Systems. The role involves field service work, installing, maintaining, repairing and calibrating sophisticated laboratory diagnostics systems for NHS laboratories, pathology departments and clinical chemistry environments. You will support flow cytometry, cell separation and diagnostics products at customer sites.

• Overall earnings: £60,000+
• Basic salary: up to £52,000
• Bonus: 10%

• Work schedule:
  
  one weekend in four, with two alternative days off

• Service, installation, breakdown, repair and calibration of laboratory diagnostics systems.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for flow cytometry, cell separation and diagnostics equipment at customer sites.

• Strong background in field service or technical support, preferably within electronics or electro‑mechanical sectors.
• Experience with high‑value electronics, capital equipment, microscopy, cameras, lasers, X‑ray security detection, ex‑forces, medical devices, biomedical engineering, pathology diagnostics or laboratory device.
• Minimum qualification:
  
  ONC/HNC or above in electronics or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent customer‑service skills and confidence in customer‑facing environments.
