The RoleAre you a driven Mechanical Project Manager ready to take total ownership of high-impact commercial and educational projects valued between £500k and £2M
?
We are seeking an experienced technical lead to manage the complete project lifecycle
—from initial start-up and execution to final client handover. In this role, you won't just oversee timelines and budgets; you'll be a key driver of quality, health & safety, value engineering, and client satisfaction.
- End-to-End Delivery: Plan, execute, monitor, and successfully close out projects within time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Commercial & Financial Control: Track expenditure, manage budgets, conduct value engineering, and produce accurate bills of quantities & procurement trackers.
- Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Lead key project meetings with clients, suppliers, and third parties while managing site labor, operatives, and sub-contractors.
- Technical & Operational Excellence: Utilize CAD/drawing packages, project tools, and MS Office to maintain precise management documents and change control.
- Hands-on Leadership: Maintain rigorous H&S standards on-site and adopt a proactive, hands-on approach whenever needed to ensure successful project handovers.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven project management experience within M&E / Building Services.
- Sector Portfolio: Strong background successfully delivering projects (£250k-£2M scope) within the Commercial and Educational sectors and able to manage multiple small projects or 1 larger one.

Skills:
Sound schematic and CAD comprehension, alongside strong digital literacy (Microsoft Suite, One Drive, software tracking tools). - Location & Mobility: Full UK Driving License with flexibility to travel across Essex, the M25, Home Counties, and wider Southern regions.
- Desirable
Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Construction Management, NVQ Level 6/7, SMSTS, CSCS, APM/Prince2, Commercial Gas/FGAS (beneficial, but strong hands-on track record is key!).
