At Renaissance Asset Finance, building trusted relationships and making informed decisions are at the heart of what we do. As part of our Block Discounting (BD) team, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio, overseeing everything from onboarding new clients through to ongoing credit monitoring and risk management. Working collaboratively across Credit, Risk and Audit functions, you'll help ensure our customers receive an outstanding experience while maintaining the highest standards of governance and credit stewardship.
Key Responsibilities- Managing BD team and RAF Credit in gathering and analysing financial information that will form part of a Credit Proposal.
- Drafting Credit Proposals and report writing.
- Analysis of key financial and non-financial data to monitor client performance in order to manage risk appropriately.
- High standards of risk management including credit, operational and reputational risk.
- Review and implement processes to maintain and enhance Credit Stewardship
- To liaise with clients, audit, credit, and sales support in the day-to-day management of client relationships.
- To implement anti money laundering and KYC procedures laid down by the company.
- Report all issues of regulatory concern to the Block Discounting Senior Director / Audit/ Bank Legal & Compliance Director.
- Communicate and escalate potential issues/risks in a prompt and effective manner.
Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures
Key Interfaces- Block Discounting customers
- Internal Credit
- Extensive experience of asset finance in a wide range of market areas
- Extensive experience of managing complex client relationships
- Previous experience in bank lending at a corporate level
- Knowledge and understanding of current Finance Credit Act legislation, Data Protection laws, Anti Money Laundering and KYC
- Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite - Excel, Word, Power-Point)
- Experience in LMA documentation
- Experienced in assessment of company accounts and forecasts
- Good numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to empathise customer needs at board level
- Dynamic, self-motivated with an entrepreneurial approach
- Self-confidence
- Personable with the ability to understand and deal with challenging personalities, and situations.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional and well presented and ability to manage and motivate others
