You will be working in the Building Services OU where we're working across schools, colleges, and universities in four UK regions, our Building Services division delivers complete facilities management - M&E, cleaning, catering, and grounds - via efficient planned and reactive services powered by technology, ensuring safe, healthy learning environments.
We are currently looking for a Premises Manager who will join a team focused on providing an excellent customer experience to our Essex Schools project, the role will manage the team onsite, liaise with our Helpdesk, cleaning and grounds teams ensuring our service is delivered to the highest standards.
As the Premises Manager, you will:- Manage the onsite premises team and sub-contractor activity in the provision of a caretaking service within the school.
- Comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Health and Safety legislation and safe systems of work, including COSHH and water systems.
- Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance is carried out as determined by PPM plan, Helpdesk, and line manager.
- Monitor and ensure the cleanliness of the school premises and furnishings and reporting any deficiencies to the Helpdesk.
- S upport the school and comply with school-based procedures in the event of fire, flood, breaking and entering, accident or major damage. Responding to calls outside normal working hours as a result of emergencies.
- Preparing the school premises and site for assemblies, meetings and out of school activities and clearing up after these activities, providing flexible support as required.
- The routine and non-routine opening of premises and grounds.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility - may require outside hours work beyond usual standard hours of 8 - 5pm.
- Maintenance or Handyperson experience.
- Computer and mobile devices skills.
- Planning and prioritising skills.
