CNC Router Operator
Location:

Salary:
Up to 33,000
Hours:
Mon - Thurs 7.00 - 4.00, Fri 7:30 - 12:30
This is a great opportunity to join a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Basildon. Using an AXYZ CNC Router to cut aluminium sheet material, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.
Duties:
- Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, lofts, and specifications to operate the AXYZ router, including:
Loading programs into the machine, calculating and accurately inputting offsets and producing aluminium components to engineering specifications - Maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process
- Check, verify, and confirm compliance of all components ensuring accurate completion of paperwork to ensure full traceability.
- Measure components using verniers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Identify and resolve machining or production issues through effective problem-solving.
- Work within a team environment to achieve daily production targets.
- Support and promote continuous improvement activities
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support business development, growth, and improvement projects.
- Support, develop, maintain, and improve the company Quality Management System (QMS).
- Participate in internal audits when required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven engineering production background (aerospace experience preferred).
- Experience operating CNC machinery; machining and/or fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to work to AS9100 and/or ISO
9001 quality management systems. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to "right first time" quality.
- Competent in the use of measuring equipment (verniers, gauges, etc.).
- Experience working with a range of materials and finishes.
- Must have good IT skills
- Flexible to work additional paid overtime when required.

- Monday - Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm / Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
