Pay Rate: £14.02 per hour (£28,432.56 per annum)
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00 / Friday 07:30-12:30
We are currently recruiting for a Chemical Process Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Basildon. As a Chemical Process Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of chemical processing activities while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and accuracy are maintained

- Working from written work instructions carry out chemical processing operations
- Prepare, monitor and maintain chemical solutions and process tanks.
- Safely load and unload components throughout the production process.
- Complete production documentation and keep accurate records.
- Input and update production data using Microsoft Excel and other computer-based systems.
- Access electronic work instructions via Windows-based systems.
- Carry out routine temperature and chemical concentration checks.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Follow COSHH regulations, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
- Wear and maintain the appropriate PPE.
- Report process issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Previous experience in a chemical processing, manufacturing, or production environment (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Windows operating systems.
- Confidence using computers to enter production data and access work instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- The ability to follow detailed written procedures accurately.
- A strong understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
- Willingness to undertake training and work overtime when required.
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.02 per hour
- Monday - Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm / Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
