Muller Operator

Full Spectrum Print & Marketing – Basildon, Essex

Full Spectrum Print & Marketing is looking for an experienced Muller Operator to join our busy production team in Basildon.

This is a practical, hands-on finishing role for someone who understands commercial print production, takes pride in accuracy, and can work confidently with stitched, gathered and trimmed work across a wide range of jobs.

Experience operating Muller Martini Bravo Prima equipment is required for this role.

You will be responsible for setting up and running Muller Martini stitching equipment accurately and efficiently, supporting the wider production and finishing teams to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard and ready for dispatch or the next stage of production.

The role will include:

• Setting up and operating Muller Martini Bravo Prima equipment
• Producing stitched, gathered and trimmed work to job specifications
• Working from job bags, production instructions and finishing requirements
• Checking pagination, stitching, trimming, quantities and overall quality
• Preparing work for packing, mailing, fulfilment or dispatch
• Handling a wide range of printed materials, sections and paper stocks
• Making machine adjustments to maintain consistency throughout each run
• Maintaining safe working practices at all times
• Working closely with production and finishing colleagues
• Helping ensure jobs are completed accurately and to agreed deadlines

This role would suit someone who is reliable, organised and comfortable working in a busy print production environment where accuracy, care and consistency are essential.

We are looking for someone with solid experience operating saddle stitching equipment within a commercial print or finishing environment.

You should have:

• Previous experience as a Muller Operator, Stitching Operator, Machine Minder or Print Finisher
• A good understanding of commercial print finishing
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to set up and run stitched work accurately to specification
• Good awareness of pagination, section feeding, stitching, trimming and finishing requirements
• A practical approach to quality control
  
  The ability to work well as part of a team
• A reliable and safety-conscious approach to work

Experience across other print finishing equipment would be beneficial, although the key requirement for this role is confident, proven experience on Muller Martini Bravo Prima equipment.
