Shifts:
Condensed shift pattern Days & Nights (a week of each) / Pay Rate: 18.45 per hour We are currently recruiting a number of experienced Machine Operators to join a busy manufacturing operation based in Newton Aycliffe . This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established production environment offering a condensed shift pattern, ongoing work, and excellent earning potential through overtime opportunities.
We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals with previous manufacturing or machine operating experience who can maintain exceptional standards of quality, safety, and productivity. Shift Pattern
- Condensed Week 1 - Days Tuesday: 06:00am - 18:00pm Wednesday: 06:00am - 18:00pm Thursday: 06:00am - 18:00pm Friday: 06:00am - 10:00am 40 hours physically worked Week 2 - Nights Tuesday: 18:00pm - 06:00am Wednesday: 18:00pm - 06:00am Thursday: 18:00pm - 06:00am 36 hours worked Week 2 Timesheet Total: 36 hours This rotating pattern provides a great work-life balance while maintaining full-time hours across the shift cycle.
Key Responsibilities Operating manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently Working within a busy production environment Picking and packing finished products Carrying out visual quality inspections Ensuring correct packaging matches product specifications and customer orders Calibrating scales in line with work instructions Checking products against templates to confirm correct size, shape, and hole positioning Completing quality checks whenever a new jumbo is loaded Recording and reporting product, process, or machinery issues Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the production area Cleaning machinery and reporting any defects or damage Completing scheduled machine cleans at specified intervals Following all site safety procedures, risk assessments, and PPE requirements Working proactively with production teams and support functions Supporting continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives Communicating effectively with team leaders and colleagues to ensure production targets are met Skills & Experience Required
- Essential Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience Experience working within a fast-paced production environment Ability to follow standard operating procedures and technical instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards If you have previous manufacturing or machine operating experience and are looking for your next opportunity in Newton Aycliffe , apply today.
