Volunteer Events Coordinator - Volunteer

Basildon Mind is looking for a volunteer to coordinate participation in local events, manage physical equipment, information leaflets and freebies.

What will you be doing?

• Be the ‘go-to’ person for coordinating our participation in events.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of our physical event equipment and ensure it is in good condition.
• Create a list of all information leaflets and keep track of minimum and maximum quantities.
• Reorder information leaflets as needed.
• Guarantee a minimum quantity of freebies (pens, stress balls) is always available.

• Work with the CEO and the Lead Fundraiser to identify events we will attend.
• Coordinate with Department Managers to determine which staff and volunteers will attend each event, and select a Lead Attender.
• Collaborate with the Lead Attender to agree on the physical equipment, information leaflets and freebies for each event.
• In partnership with the General Manager, request reorder of leaflets and freebies.

• Experience in events management or fundraising events, preferably involving volunteers.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with volunteers, staff, managers and trustees, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and also collaborate as part of a team.
