Are you someone who loves connecting people to opportunities, helping them overcome barriers, and supporting them to thrive in their community? If so, we’ve got a brilliant opportunity for you as we’re looking for a Community Connector to join our Essex Outreach Support Service.
In this role, you will work closely with Peabody’s Community Investment team to deliver our social value offer across Essex. You will help customers access employment, apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities and other local community assets. You’ll build strong relationships with local groups, organisations and networks, and engage directly with customers to design and deliver workshops that promote social inclusion, wellbeing, and meaningful occupation.
What your day might look like

* Build relationships with local community groups, employers and partners, linking customers to meaningful activities and social networks.
* Design and deliver engaging workshops that promote inclusion, confidence and wellbeing.
* Work flexibly across Essex to meet customer and community needs.

What you’ll need
* Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with customers, staff and stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise with minimal supervision.
* Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with partners and networks.
* Experience planning or facilitating group workshops or community sessions.
* Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and privacy.
* Flexibility to work across the Essex service where demand is high.
* Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings or weekends.
* Strong team‑working skills and the ability to support and be supported by colleagues.
* Experience or knowledge of handling disclosures and raising safeguarding concerns.
* Understanding of adult and child safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures.
