Export Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an experienced freight forwarder to gain a pathway into management within a successful organisation that continues to grow. Our client is currently looking for someone with good ocean freight export experience to oversee a team of 5 people within the export department. The candidate will be able to demonstrate they have the capability to manage colleagues effectively within their team by leading by example.

• Overseeing a team of 5 people within the export department as well as managing your own customers.
• Dealing with International Ocean and Air freight shipments
• Facilitating clients international transportation needs worldwide.
• Be Involved in all aspects of the international shipping process.
• Dealing with shipping lines and haulers
• Arranging paperwork for customs clearance
• Liaising with customers throughout the process to ensure accurate efficient and timely final delivery to end users.

This is a highly customer focused role which will involve high levels of interaction with both customers and internal and external colleagues throughout the process so you must be able to promote a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction throughout the team.

Salary 40k negotiable depending on experience

To be considered for this role you will have gained previous experience within a freight forwarders dealing with export operations. Equally important are your excellent communication skills and strong customer focus awareness along with good organisation and administration skills.

Successful candidates will also need to be highly professional and require an excellent telephone manner with the ability to deal and react with customers in the most professional way.
