Tuesday to Friday working pattern for long weekends every week

Minimum of 7.25 hours paid per shift

Ongoing temporary work with consistent hours

As a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver
, you will play an important role in keeping local communities clean by safely collecting household waste and recycling across the Basilldon area.

Drive a refuse collection vehicle on planned local routes

Lead and work alongside a team of loaders throughout the shift

Collect household, recycling, and garden waste from residential properties

Empty waste at authorised disposal facilities

Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete required paperwork

Assist the loading team when operationally required

We're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the right experience and a strong work ethic.

Hold a valid Category C (Class
2) HGV licence

Have a minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experience

Previous rear steer and dustcart/refuse vehicle experience is essential

Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification

Be physically fit and happy to assist with loading duties when required

Demonstrate excellent awareness of road safety and teamwork
