Warehouse Operative

Our client based in Basildon is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous warehouse experience, a Counterbalance Forklift licence, excellent communication skills and a solid work history with no gaps and a strong work ethic.

The Warehouse Operative duties will involve:

- Loading and unloading of freight going through the warehouse using a Counterbalance Forklift
Notifying Supervisor of any shortages or damages
Ensuring that the appropriate booking in procedure is adhered to and dims etc are checked and reported back to the relevant department.
Ensuring that all vehicles are handled in a prompt manner
Ensuring all people in the vicinity are wearing Hi-Vis and warehouse staff are wearing safety footwear
Ensuring that all freight leaving the warehouse is signed for upon collection
Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse

Hours of work are Monday to Friday. Flexibility with hours is a must as you will be rotating shifts. Shifts are 6am - 2.30pm and 11.30am - 8pm.
