Overview
Sheridan Maine London is a growing accountancy firm in Basingstoke, seeking a qualified or qualified by experience Practice Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio and provide financial advice across multiple sectors.
Core Responsibilities- Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Complete personal and corporate tax returns
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Produce management accounts and financial reports
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support clients with accounting and tax queries
- Ensure compliance with current accounting standards and HMRC requirements
- Support and mentor junior team members and assist with client queries
- ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, or Sage (desirable)
Salary between £45,000 and £55,000 per annum.
EligibilityMust be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
