Overview

Sheridan Maine London is a growing accountancy firm in Basingstoke, seeking a qualified or qualified by experience Practice Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio and provide financial advice across multiple sectors.

Core Responsibilities

Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Complete personal and corporate tax returns
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Produce management accounts and financial reports
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Support clients with accounting and tax queries
Ensure compliance with current accounting standards and HMRC requirements
Support and mentor junior team members and assist with client queries

Qualifications & Skills

ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
Previous experience in an accountancy practice
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, or Sage (desirable)

Compensation

Salary between £45,000 and £55,000 per annum.

Eligibility

Must be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
