Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next interim opportunity? We are recruiting for a Temporary Assistant Accountant to join a well-established and highly respected organisation based in Basingstoke.
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a collaborative finance team, supporting key accounting activities while gaining exposure to a broad range of financial reporting and control processes.

Key Responsibilities ✅ Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes✅ Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments✅ Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations✅ Support cash flow reporting and treasury administration✅ Maintain fixed asset registers and asset accounting records✅ Assist with VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements✅ Support internal and external audit processes✅ Prepare financial statements and management reports✅ Reconcile intercompany accounts and investigate variances✅ Ensure compliance with financial controls and company policies✅ Contribute to finance projects and process improvement initiatives
About You✔ Studying towards or qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA✔ Previous experience within a finance or accounting environment✔ Strong Excel skills and confidence using financial systems✔ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail✔ Strong communication and organisational abilities✔ Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
