The post holder will provide a full secretarial and administrative service to support the sepsis agenda and critical care outreach team. This will include the Marthas Rule service. The post holder will be expected to develop in-depth specialist knowledge of the team/service and the ability to provide detailed advice and information to whoever requests it. The role will require constant awareness of the work and key priorities of the department.
The post holder will be responsible for collating and validating patient data as well as assessing and monitoring divisional performance against key national targets. The post holder will be responsible for gathering data to support our CQUIN for the timely identification of patients with sepsis in emergency departments and acute inpatient settings.
- Responsibility for providing a full secretarial and administrative service to the designated teams. This will include diary management, management and production of all correspondence and the development and maintenance of document management systems.
- Ensure the quality, consistency and credibility of information used and proactively investigate and resolve actual and potential risks to achievement of Trust targets. Escalate unresolved issues as appropriate.
- Analyse patterns and problems within the data of patient pathways to propose improved processes that will influence working practices. Supported by the Division Performance Lead, implement changes within own and other work areas, when relevant.
- To monitor e‑mail and other correspondence and respond where appropriate. To bring essential items to the attention of the designated Managers for action.
- Preparation and management of key meetings and events such as training days. This will include drafting of agenda, production of formal minutes, dealing with action points, tracking progress on actions and booking of venues.

Person specification Training and Qualifications- Grade Achieved C or above in GCSE English Language
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent within administration or equalent
- Equivalent Knowledge and skills through alternative study employment experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- ECDL, or other information technology/word processing qualifications
- Experience of working in a busy customer focussed environment
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of administrative procedures and proven implementation capability.
- Establishing and maintaining coherent and efficient office systems.
