About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sales Administrator to join a busy and supportive team in Basingstoke.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment and is confident managing a combination of sales administration, customer enquiries and general office responsibilities.
You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring customer requests, orders and administrative tasks are handled accurately and efficiently.
Working hours - Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to customer enquiries by telephone, email and face-to-face, providing a professional and helpful service.
* Deal with customer concerns and complaints, resolving issues wherever possible and escalating more complex matters when required.
* Process customer orders, quotations, enquiries and returns accurately and within agreed timescales.
* Provide administrative and operational support to the General Manager.
* Complete data entry, reporting, filing and document management as required.
* Assist with maintaining branch compliance with relevant statutory, regulatory, health and safety and operational requirements.
* Support the wider sales team with general administration and customer-related activities.
* Take on additional administrative duties and tasks as required by the management team.
* Help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the branch through effective communication and organisation.
Candidate Skills

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* Good analytical skills and a methodical approach to work.
* Confidence working with data and an ability to identify and investigate issues.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
* The ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
* A practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving problems.
* The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
* A flexible attitude and willingness to support colleagues across the business.
* A positive and professional approach to customer service.
