Supply Chain Coordinator
Location:
Basingstoke
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Hours:
8.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-4pm Friday
Join a high-growth manufacturing business and play a pivotal role in securing essential raw materials for their expanding product range. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, driving cost efficiency, quality, and supply chain continuity across our sites.

- Lead all operational purchasing activities—prepare purchase orders, contracts, and coordinate logistics for on-time, cost-effective product supply.
- Oversee procurement documentation, including invoices, payment tracking, and customs paperwork.
- Track raw material deliveries, follow up with suppliers and logistics, and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels; analyse demand against production plans and sales forecasts to proactively recommend purchasing actions.
- Maintain a detailed cost-tracking system; conduct cost analysis to optimise procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with commercial, quality, and laboratory teams for evaluation, testing, and approval of materials and suppliers.
- Support supplier qualification and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to assess risks, material needs, and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or related subject (preferred).
- Demonstrable experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations within manufacturing/industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, documentation, and supplier management.
- Experience with ERP systems advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel and cost-tracking tools; able to analyse costs and demand forecasts.
- Familiarity with logistics and international trade documentation (preferred).
- Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively.
