Quantity Surveyor (Drylining)
Location:
Hertfordshire Job Type: Permanent Salary: £30,000 £ 40,000 per annum (depending on experience) About the Company With a turnover exceeding £40 million, we are a well-established and growing drylining fit-out and refurbishment contractor, delivering high-quality projects across the UK. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support the successful delivery of multiple projects.
The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with 15 years experience in drylining to develop their career within a fast-paced and supportive environment. You will work closely with senior team members while gaining exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of projects.
Key Responsibilities Support the management and coordination of a team of Surveyors Assist with monthly cost reporting and profit reviews to track project performance Prepare and contribute to monthly valuations (client-side and supply chain) Assist in the preparation of pre-tender profit plans and cashflow forecasts Price drylining packages and support procurement of subcontractors Help manage subcontractor packages in line with contract terms and conditions Assist in the agreement of final accounts (upstream and downstream) Support the preparation of main contract documentation, collateral warranties, and consultant appointments Ensure projects remain aligned with cost plans and maintain close liaison with client-side Quantity Surveyors Contribute to value engineering initiatives Support final account settlement and client aftercare Requirements 15 years experience working for a drylining contractor (essential) Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts Good numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within deadlines Strong communication and teamwork abilities Must be able to travel to Hertfordshire Available immediately or within a one-month notice period Whats on Offer Competitive salary of £30,000 £ 40,000 Opportunity to work on a variety of high-quality drylining projects Career progression within a growing contractor Supportive team environment with ongoing development
