About Walk London

Walk London is a men's footwear brand run by a small, hands-on team where everyone owns a clear piece of the business — from product and operations to ecommerce, photography and customer service. Our social channels are the public face of the brand day to day, and we're looking for someone to take full ownership of that voice: creating it, shooting it, editing it, and getting it in front of the right audience.

The Role

We're replacing and reshaping our social media role into a broader Social Media & Content Creator position. This isn't a purely deskbound scheduling job — you'll be the person behind the camera as well as in front of it: shooting original content, directing shoots and stylists, editing campaign imagery, and turning all of it into a consistent stream of social content across Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and beyond.

You'll need genuine creative energy, a sharp eye, and the confidence to go out and get the shot yourself.

Key Responsibilities Content creation & editing
  • Shoot original photo and video content — product, lifestyle, behind-the-scenes and user-generated-style content — both in the studio and on location.
  • Bring ideas, energy and styling instinct to every shoot; be comfortable appearing on camera as well as directing it.
  • Edit and retouch your own content and existing campaign imagery (supplied by the in-house photographer) for social use.
  • Creation of brand graphic design across digital touchpoints and print media.
Planning, scheduling & tone of voice
  • Plan, write and schedule content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and other relevant channels.
  • Write captions and copy consistently in Walk London's tone of voice, adapted to each platform and audience.
  • Monitor content performance and adjust the plan based on what's working.
  • Own and respond to messaging, comments and requests across all social channels; liaising with brand community, customer service, stylists and influencers.
Shoots, styling & production
  • Plan and manage the shoot schedule, working with Product and Photography to align content with seasonal launches.
  • Source and manage stylists, models and freelance creatives for lookbooks and campaign shoots.
  • Coordinate props, locations and styling to keep shoots on brand and on budget.
Influencers & user-generated content
  • Identify, approach and manage relationships with influencers and creators aligned with the Walk London brand.
  • Source and (with permission) repurpose user-generated content across owned channels.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of brand advocates and affiliates.
Brand storytelling
  • Develop storytelling and ‘value’ content beyond product shots — craftsmanship, styling advice, brand culture — to build a distinctive voice for Walk London.
  • Work with Customer Service and Ecommerce to spot trends, questions or moments worth turning into content.
About You
  • Proven experience creating and editing content for social media — you'll be asked to share a portfolio or reel.
  • Confident with editing tools such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere Pro/Cap Cut (or equivalents).
  • Comfortable directing shoots and appearing on camera, with the charisma to represent the brand in person.
  • Experience planning, writing and scheduling content, with a genuine feel for adapting to a brand's tone of voice.
  • Experience coordinating stylists, freelancers or influencers is a strong advantage.
  • Highly organised and self-sufficient — comfortable owning a channel end-to-end within a small team.
  • A genuine interest in menswear, footwear or lifestyle content.
  • Full UK driving licence useful, given regular on-location shoots.
What We Offer
  • Salary depending on experience.
  • Full-time role, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, based at our Basingstoke studio/office with regular time on location.
  • Genuine ownership of the visual and social voice of a growing footwear brand.
  • A small, close-knit team where your work is seen, used and valued every day.
