Job summary
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for a trust Foundation Year 1 in General Surgery and Urology at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital site.
This post is designed to support both emergency and elective services across the surgical division. This post holder will sit on the FY1 rota with support from the SHO, registrar and consultant team.
Main duties of the jobClinical duties expected on the wards include undertaking urology ward rounds with registrars/consultants, requesting and monitoring of diagnostics and discharge summaries.
There is an opportunity to attend clinic and theatre in urology.
Out of hours general surgery cover on a 1 in 10 rota. 6 months, extendable to 1 year.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential- GMC registration with a licence to practice
- MRCS or Part 1
- NHS Experience
- Experience of General Surgery at F1 / F2 level
- Completion of core surgical training programme
- Experience of publications and presentations
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Good computer skills
- Evidence of surgical experience
- Experience in research and audit
